A Monologue with my beloved father, Saint Hegumen Bishoy

Our Encounter Together in Christ
Father, as you were serving in Los Angeles in 1969, you sent me a letter telling me about your experiences in Christ. You told me that even though thousands of miles separate us, we still encounter each other every day at the altar. Therefore, even death cannot separate those who had departed from the sojourners in this world. And now, your departure to heaven did not isolate you from your beloved ones who are struggling in their sojourn. Your heart, which was filled with love for everyone you met, became even more loving while in the bosom of the Heavenly Father, asking for the salvation of all, praying for the fallen, and asking for comfort, heavenly joy and hope for those who are afflicted.
Your enjoyment of the heavenly glories in heaven ignited your love even to those who had fallen into different human weaknesses, longing for every person to encounter the Savior of the World who promised us saying: "I go to prepare a place for you" Qohn 14: 2-3).
Grant us, 0 Savior of the world, the spirit of wondrous hope that our beloved Father Bishoy used to spread amongst every person he met or listened to his sermons. Father Bishoy, you did not know despair in anything and your words fill us with joy in our hearts and strengthen our trust in the Holy Spirit who is at work in people even at the very last moments of our lives on earth, like Demas the thief who was crucified at your right hand, 0 Redeemer, and he heard your joyful voice: "Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise." (Luke 23:43).
My Father, you were rejoicing in the midst of severe bodily pain and now how much more do you rejoice today in heaven, rejoicing over every soul that returns to God!
What is the secret of your victory, Father
It is your continuous emphasis on our spiritual growth to recover the new nature, so that we become a living icon of Christ. We will never forget your words of encouragement to us, confirming that in Christ Jesus we bruise the head of the serpent and are not even afraid of sin. Rather, we trust in His divine grace and we ask for His Holy Spirit to dwell in us and to always support us in our lives and our struggles.
My Lord Jesus, when will the one church that extends from Adam and Eve to the last day of
your coming gather together on the clouds!
Your Son, the hegumen, Tadros Yacoub Malaty
