Before the Shouting, There Was A Quiet Act of Great Love - Palm Sunday Eve
Apr 13, 2025 • Fr Elijah Estafanous
Before the shouting… before the palm branches…
Before the “Hosannas” echoed in the streets—
There was a quiet act of great love.
In this heartfelt Palm Sunday Vespers message, Fr. Elijah reflects on the deep, quiet devotion of Mary of Bethany, who offered the most precious thing she had to Christ in total gratitude—not with noise, but with tears and costly love.
As we prepare for the royal entry of the King, this message asks each of us:
What is your alabaster offering tonight?
Have you sat at His feet before you raise your palm branches tomorrow?
Before Holy Week begins, let this be your invitation to meet Christ in the quiet—where love isn’t loud, but it’s real, raw, and reverent.
