The Path to Intimacy with God

The Gospel story of the man born blind [ St. John Ch 9 ] illustrates the progression of faith through three distinct stages,
The first stage involves a superficial understanding where the blind man identifies Jesus merely as “a man called Jesus,” which represents individuals who are unaware of God’s presence in their lives.
The second stage sees a deeper acknowledgment, where the blind man refers to Jesus as “a prophet,” indicating a development of faith in God’s miracles but still lacking personal commitment. Finally, in the third stage, he recognizes Jesus as the Son of God, resulting in worship and a transformative understanding of faith.
